How Did Ribbons4u Start?
Ribbons4u, are a family owned and run retailer / wholesaler we are located in Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant on the Welsh Shropshire borders.
For those of you who might know the area our warehouse is located on the Waterfall Road about 1.5 miles away from the famous Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall (the highest single fall in the UK).
Originally located in the Home Counties and trading as Home Counties Wholesale we used to carry a wide range of general haberdashery products, however over the years we became known for our range of ribbons and trimmings. Started back in the early 1980’s the business prided itself on being able to offer high levels of customer service together with a great range of leading products from a wide range of manufacturers.
As the ribbon side of the business grew and flourished we discontinued a number of the haberdashery lines and over the subsequent years we carried on dropping the general haberdashery, until we were left as a 100% ribbon wholesaler.
In 2007 we relocated to our present location and since we were now far removed from the Home Counties and dealing on a national basis, it seemed important to look for a new name and as a result H.C Habby Ltd was used for the parent company with Simply Ribbons becoming the online trading style
Challenging times.
As time went on and we battled through covid and down turns in the economy, as a result we looked to expand our ribbon services in to other areas and embarked on Bespoke ribbon printing, we also introduced a hand made bow service, ribbon craft kits and cutting and pre packing ribbon lengths to order.
This side of the business grew, and we decided to set up Ribbons4u a trading style of Ribbons4u Limited.
Today the new firm is stocking in excess of 40,000 reels of ribbon at any one time and selling across the internet on wholesale and retail terms. We supply everyone from the large multi-nationals and promotion companies to the private individual looking for a reel of ribbon for their wedding.
In addition we can have ribbons, and hand-tied bows made to specific customer requirements, for packaging and giftware. Likewise we supply ribbons in pre-cut lengths packed in what ever quantities our customers require, these are popular with our printing and packaging firm.
Ribbons4u carries stock from Berisfords Ribbons, Shindo, Present, Halbach as well as Kuny Ribbons. Additional lines come from a number of importers as well as factories we have relationships with in the Far East.
Our Team..
With a dedicated staff, we aim to process and dispatch our customer’s orders as quickly as possible and to offer all our customers a first class service. .
Between us our staff have over 50 years experience in the ribbon business, and are always on hand to give any advise or help that they can, from choosing a colour to complement a wedding theme to advising on finishing wreath kits and commercial printed ribbon enquires, they can deal with it all.

We aim to keep our web site as up to date as we can with the latest new lines trending on the market place, with this in mind we try to maintain a balance and are keen to offer good value high end products as well. As a result we have a very active sale ribbon section on which we clear end of lines and discontinued ribbons, many of which are very high end products made in Mainland Europe.
